s49 2009 FDM Cross-Fleet-Comparison Report

Zurich-Airport, 4th December 2010, swiss49 officially publishes the 2009 FDM Cross-Fleet-Comparison Report of its Flight Data Monitoring customer group.

Several of swiss49 Flight Data Monitoring service customers followed the swiss49 call for the contribution of their operational flight data to be benchmarked versus the Flight Safety Foundation's 2009 Annual C-FOQA Statistical Summary Report. All participating operators received a customised Flight Safety Report for their own fleet.

Sven Waibel, Chief Flight Operations and Head of Safety Rabbit Air says: "The comparison of the swiss49 CFC Report versus the Flight Safety Foundation annual C-FOQA summary allows a robust and standardised benchmarking of the Flight Safety Level of the Rabbit Air flight operation. Additionally the swiss49 team provided us with Flight Safety conclusions and recommendations for the daily flight operation. We are keen to see future trends on the high-lighted flight safety topics. Furthermore we are convinced to have a very strong tool to identify important areas for future internal flight safety campaigns!"

The swiss49 FDM Cross-Fleet-Comparison Report applied Flight Safety Event metrics, which is identical to the Flight Safety Foundation C-FOQA initiative. From a technical viewpoint the flight data processing is based on the Flight Data Monitoring System eFOQA by Austin Digital, Inc.
